Instructions on how to clean skis from fluor when making the switch to Rex fluor-free waxes.

#1 Clean the skis with Ski Wax Remover.

Apply Ski Wax Remover to a fiber cloth and wipe the base of the ski until it’s damp. Brush multiple times with a stainless steel brush to remove old waxes. Wipe with a clean fiber cloth. Repeat until no wax comes off the base.

#2 Wax the skis with fluor-free Rex GlideCleaner UHW.

Apply GlideCleaner to the base of the ski. Let it dry for a few minutes and brush.

#3 Wax the skis twice with fluorine-free Rex hot wax.

For example, with Rex Light Blue #4221 Special Service Glider.
Apply hot wax to the ski base, scrape, and brush thoroughly.

Also take note of the following points:

  • Make sure that all brushes are replaced and other tools are thoroughly cleaned when waxing.
  • After stone grinding, remember to carefully wipe the bases with wax remover, as the grinding emulsion may contain Fluor residues from previous grinds.
