Kick wax evolution

“Initially, I was taught kick wax application as a process where a soft wax layer is applied first, followed by a harder kick wax that matches the snow conditions.

In 2010, I began testing new waxing techniques together with Stein-Olav Snesrud, who later became the head wax technician for the Norwegian national team.

Together, we discovered that the reverse method – using a harder kick wax as a base and applying a softer wax on top – produced excellent results. This required a new approach to developing soft top waxes and a series of test waxes. These waxes eventually evolved into the Racing Service line products: TK-1814 and 30G.

Based on this philosophy, we designed three new kick waxes to complement the Rex Racing Service line: Gold, Blue, and Green.”
